Award-winning creative producer and documentary film and TV director
Stacey Tenenbaum (Producer) is an award-winning creative producer and director. In 2014 she founded H2L Productions, a boutique documentary film production company specializing in crafting character driven stories which are shot internationally.
H2L Productions’ first documentary feature Shiners, was broadcast on the Documentary Channel, TV5, and PBS Independent Lens. Stacey’s second film Pipe Dreams, a documentary feature about competitive organ players, was released in cinemas across Canada and the US and was
broadcast on the Documentary Channel, NHK, SVT and PBS. Her third film Scrap, a character driven environmental documentary ran in cinemas across the US and Canada and was broadcast on the Documentary Channel, YLE, ERT.
Stacey also Produced The Death Tour, Directed by Stephan Peterson & Sonya Ballantyne, a documentary about professional wrestling in the far North of Canada. The film will be released in 2024. She is currently in production on Tough Old Broads, a film about women trailblazers, and is in development on The Doppelganger Project which follows photographer François Brunelle who has been finding and photographing look-alikes for the past 25 years. Before turning her attention to film, Stacey worked in factual television for 16 years, producing and co-creating award-winning documentary series such as The Beat (CTV) and In Real Life (YTV). In 2012, she was nominated for an International Emmy for In Real Life III. Stacey is passionate about making cinematic films which are filled with humour and heart.
